Henerietta Nelson

On June 18, 1951, the late Theodosia and James Nelson Sr. brought Henrietta Nelson into this world. She departed this life on March 11, 2023 at the age of 71 years young.
Henrietta received her education in the public schools of Wilmington De. She worked for General Motors Corp. until she retired.
Henrietta is survived by her two sons who affectionately call her "Red", Martel and his wife Charis. Thomas Sr. and his wife Samantha. She has been blessed with six grandchildren, Sheris (Devon), Sharis, Cheris (Eric), Thomas Jr, Tionni, and Anthony. Her seven, great-grandchildren, Sapphire, Trayvon, JaQuelle, JaNelle, JoElle, JaiElle, and Chriselle. Henrietta was survived by four brothers, Nathaniel Stephens (Nat),  Eugene Stephens, James Nelson Jr, Theodore Nelson (Teddy). And two sisters, Gloria Tanniehill and Enerstine Patton. And a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Henrietta spent her days checking in on her family making sure everyone was doing well. She was a woman who lived by her own rules and did what she wanted to. She also enjoyed listening to music. She was so loved and will be missed by many.
Funeral will be held at Strano and Feeley Funeral Home 635 Churchmans Rd Newark, De 19702. Viewing 9:00 am • Service 11:00am INTERMENT will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park 2220 N. Dupont Hwy New Castle, De 19720
