Brenda was born on June 22, 1961 to her late parents James and Virginia (Turner) Coward. She was the youngest of 7, all predeceased.
The family moved from Detroit, Michigan to Wilmington, Delaware in 1965 where Brenda attended elementary through high school. She loved helping out any and everyone. If someone needed help then you could count on Brenda being there with an extended hand. She was a very peaceful woman but didn’t have a problem voicing her opinion on any matter. She would give you a warning look and then she would speak her mind.
She worked many jobs such as housekeeper, cashier and even a cook but her most important job was Mom!
Brenda was a mother to three children. Two boys and one girl. Timothy Coward, William Coward and Tanisha Coward.
Brenda had 7 grandchildren, DeAnthony Broadnax, Timothy Coward Jr., Ta’Mya Coward, Kiasia Coward, Maurice Fisher Jr., Ma’Ni Fisher and James Fisher. She has also left behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her beloved grandchildren were more like her children. Brenda always joked that her grandchildren came before her children. She would go to the ends of the earth and back just to make sure her loved ones had everything the needed.
Now that Brenda has gone home to be with her mother, father and siblings, she can rest peacefully and know that her beloved children, countless nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends will forever remember her and all that she has been to them.
Forever loved and will never be forgotten! We love you Momma!
