Ms. Roxanne Michelle Hollingsworth, 62, of Newark, Delaware was united with her Heavenly Father on the evening of Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Wilmington Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newark, Delaware, on December 5, 1959, the 9th child and baby girl to the late James W. Sr. and Dorothy L. Hollingsworth.
Roxanne, affectionately known as “Foxy Roxy” and “Boss Lady”, was a Jack(ie) of all trades and a woman of many talents working multiple jobs to support her family. She received her education in the Brandywine Public School System. Throughout her life, Roxanne was dedicated to extending a helping hand; known as a teacher, doctor, counselor and self proclaimed food connoisseur, she opened her heart and her home to many in need. She would pray with you and encourage you to get to know the Lord, while leading many family and friends to her home church, Restoration World Outreach (RWO). She was a devoted God fearing woman who would “get you together” in the name of Jesus.
Roxanne loved spending time with her family and friends, eating crabs, going to the store to catch a good sale, scouting yard sales for unique finds and interior and exterior home and party design, but what she loved most was bringing people to Restoration World Outreach in which she was a member for over 25 years.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her son Ronnie “Munchie” Hollingworth; her parents, James and Dorothy Hollingsworth; her aunt, Charlotte Ringgold-Hill; her sisters, Barbara Ann Matthews and Celestine Hollingsworth; her nephews, Leo Hollingsworth and Andrew Pennewell; her nieces, Dorothy Badson and Shaunice Hollingsworth.
