Ronald Broomer

July 13, 1959 — October 14, 2023

Ronald Broomer was born on July 13, 1959 to Jasper Ervin, Sr. and Mattie Broomer in Wilmington, Delaware.  He received his education in the Wilmington Public School System.  He returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 14, 2023,  surrounded by his family.

Ronald had talents and hobbies.  He enjoyed drawing, cooking, working on houses, playing dominos, playing board games, and was a huge fan of reading.  Ronald worked at many restaurants throughout the Wilmington area including Piane’s Catering, Washington Street Ale House, Gallucio’s, assisting at times at Bennie’s Big Scoop, Woody’s Restaurant, and Dutch Pantry.

Ronald was also a big fan of television shows and movies, especially cop dramas.  His favorite show was Law & Order (all of them) and he could watch comedies and other shows all day.

Ronald was also a family man.  He LOVED arguing and spending time with his twin brother and hanging with ALL his family.  Ronald would pull out Uno cards and later playing cards just to spend time while laughing and joking.  He never picked favorites but made it his business to always visit his Uncle John and Aunt Jessie.

Ronald was predeceased by his Father, Japer Ervin, Sr.; siblings, Jasper Ervin, Jr., Charles W. Ervin, Mellissa Summers Ervin, and Kevin Broomer; his Uncle John; and other relatives and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Tamma Ranelle Spencer; his son, Michael L. Moore; his mother, Mattie McNair; his siblings, twin brother, Donald Broomer, Mike Broomer, Sue Broomer, JuCia Ervin, Marrietta Brown, and Brian Broomer; Step-Mother Catherine Ervin; his only grandchild, Keyonna Diamond Nicole Spencer, who he referred as HIS Diamond; his devoted aunt, Jessie Thomas; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
