Lucille Neal Pulliam "Patsy"

Lucille Lillian Neal Pulliam, “Patsy”, the daughter of the late Louise Waters and Brooks Neal was born October 21, 1938 in Cambridge, Maryland.

Lucille went to eternal rest on Sunday September 1, 2019 at her residence.

Lucille received her early education in the Public Schools of Wilmington, Delaware. She was a graduate of Howard High school. She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and later returned to Delaware to reside with her aunt and uncle, Howard and Bessie Wilson.

Lucille had an enormous love for sports of which she received many medals and awards for Basketball, Skating, Swimming and Track and Field.

Lucille met and married the love of her life Roy Lee Pulliam. They both were inseparable. “Patsy” as she was called by Roy played an intricate part helping him establish his trucking company and Landscaping business.

Lucille was the tower of strength to her family and friends. She did not hesitate to let people know what she was thinking. Some people saw this as her feistiness and her assertiveness, but this was her way of expressing concern and admiration for the lives she touched.

Lucille had a immersed love for the Lord and accepted Him as her personal savior after years of battling with cancer. “I AM A SURVIVOR”

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Sheriden Neal and husband, Roy Lee Pulliam.

Lucille leaves to cherish her precious memories 2 sons; Mitchell Neal, and ManixDesmuke, 2 sisters; Betty Dorsey(Bill) and Ramona Neal, 3 brother-in-law’s; Herman Pulliam(Margorie)Charles Puryear and Donnell Puryear(Janet), 3 sister-in-law’s; Ruthann and Cynthia Puryear and Emma Ragland(Marvin),3 grandsons; Terris Broadnax, Ruben Neal and Jarred Johnson, 1 granddaughter, Melissa Winfield, 9 greatgrandchildren, 1 devoted cousin and Home Health Aide, Tracey Miller and a host of devoted family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 14, 2019 at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th Street Wilmington, DE 19801. Viewing 10-11am, service at 11am.
