Jermaine Sanders passed away on January 16, 2023. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on January 31, 1973.
He was the son of the late Joseph E. Sanders and Pearline Williams Sanders. He was greeted into Heaven by his two brothers Joseph M.
Sanders Jr. and Derrick E. Sanders and his aunt Nellie Edwards.
Jermaine attended John Dickinson High School. He previously worked for National Tire Battery where he became a team manager. He worked
at Ruby Tuesday as a cook. Then he started working for Popeye’s as a cook and was promoted to manager for several Popeye’s. Jermaine’s
new life began when God introduced him to Divine Light. Divine Light showed Jermaine a new way of living. His determination to see himself
get better was a true inspiration to all. Jermaine showed his peers that if I can do it, you can do it. His hard work allowed him to become a
Residential Coordinator.
Jermaine loved working on cars and cooking, and he always read the word of God as often as he could. He loved to make people laugh and
have fun. He was a beautiful spirit inside and out. He will be truly missed.
Jermaine leaves behind two daughters Charmaine and Jazzmaine Sanders, and one grandchild Ja’saan Perez, his sister Jonette Sanders,
Niece Gabrielle B. Patton, and nephews Joseph, and Jaylen Sanders. Girlfriend Clarissa M. Wickes, step kids; Thomas Bransford, Tomisha
Bransford, Laneisha Wickes. His step-grandchildren Kamoni Washington, Erin Bransford, Lyric Wickes, Artist Wickes, Alijah
Stevenson, Kedar Perkins, and his cousins, family, and friends.
A celebration of his life will take place at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th St. Wilmington, DE 19801 on Friday February 3, 2023 at 11 am. Viewing, 9-10:45 am.
