Gloria Clark-Cooper

June 5, 1936 — August 22, 2023

Gloria Clark-Cooper, daughter of the late George O. Bell Sr. and Pauline E. Walls-Bell was born June 5, 1936, in Wilmington, DE. She peacefully transitioned this life at the Wilmington Hospital on August 22, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Gloria received her early education in the public schools of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Wilmington, Delaware. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Henry Lee Clark in the 1950’s. From this union five children were born. Her second husband was the late George Cooper.

Gloria was a homemaker for many years and took pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed extended family gatherings and in her earlier years would often host summer cookouts and holiday parties.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Lee Clark, and George Cooper. Her children, Angelo Lee, Oshay Lavon, Darnell Orlando, Demarbis Nigel Clark, and Danielle Clark-Skinner. Her sisters, Arneita B. Bell, and Simone E. (Bell) Williams, and brother, George Oliver Bell, Jr. Her nephews, Roger T., Pierre, and Stephen Bell, and niece, Tina M. Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved grandchildren Antoine, Justin (Nora), Tarra, Daniel, Heather, and Haley Clark, Alonna, Marquis, and Kahlil Clark-Skinner. Daughter-in-law, Cindi Clark, Son-in- law, William H. Skinner, Jr. Eight great grandchildren, Meadow, Chloe, Jayden, Layla, Alonna, Gemma, Evelyn and Legend, devoted cousin Lydia (Bell) Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing will be held on Monday September 11, 2023 9-11 am from Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th Street Wilm., DE 19801. Interment Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
