Genette Todd-Moat

Celebrating the life of Genette Todd-Moat who peacefully departed this life on October 18, 2021. Genette was born in Chester, Pa on July 21,1945 to the late Joseph and Georgie Mae Todd. Genette was affectionately known as “Genny Boo.” She grew up in Chester, Pa. and was a proud graduate of Chester High School, class of 1965. She was married to the late Donald Moat.
Genette accepted Jesus Christ in 1964 and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. She sang on the choir and her favorite songs to sing were “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Sweeping Through The City.” Her favorite scripture was Psalm 30:5 “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Genette was a certified Mig and Tig welder. Her most significant jobs were Teledyne Wirz, U.S. Postal Service, Phone Fair, and Atlanta Airport.
In 1997 Genette relocated to Georgia where she resided for 23 years. Post retirement, she was an active member of the John’s Creek Senior Center and participated in several senior sport competitions where she won 1st place medals. Genette lived a vivacious, adventurous, and abundant life. Genette loved to ride motorcycles and race cars. She made the best crabs and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. She used her gifts of hospitality and giving to impact the lives of others. Some of Genette’s greatest memories were with her brother, the late Elder Levert C. Todd, Sr. They were only 11 months apart and were like best friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories: The Todd children. She was like a second mother to Patrice L. Todd, Keisha Todd-Johnson, Michelle L. Primeaux (Brandon), Levert C. Todd, Jr. (Lela), and Lamarr Todd. Siblings: Beloved Gloria Caver, Gerald Campbell, Betty Fairchild, Joanne Campbell, Vendetta Strickland, Joseph Todd, Beloved Reginald Todd, Ramone Todd, Jacqueline Todd, Rudolph Todd, Sheila Todd, Tyrone Todd, Gretta Jordon. Special Sister in Law: Sandra L. Todd. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Best friend of 66 years: Jenelle Williams-Zahir
Special caregiver: her niece, Keisha Todd-Johnson.
Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 11 am, viewing 9-11 am, Molding Disciples Ministries, 211 West Brookhaven Road, Rose Valley, PA 19086. Interment is private. All attendees must wear masks.
