OBITURARY
EARLE CORNELIUS SHEPPARD was born to the late Earle Ford and Violet Elizabeth Sheppard on December 27, 1941 Wilmington , Delaware. He peacefully departed this life on Friday June 6, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital.
H e received his education in Wilmington Public schools and graduated from Conrad High School in 19 60 . He worked in various occupational fields during his early adult life. He worked as production worker at Chrysler Automotive , as a Product Tester at Coca Cola in Atlanta and was also self-employed owning an automotive detailing shop. Later in life he joined his brother Harry W. Sheppard and worked with him at Walt’s Flavor Crisp in Wilmington and later went on to work at Delaware Cadillac.
Earle was a free spirit who enjoyed travel ing . He lived in various states during his life: Pennsylvania , California, and Atlanta before returning to Delaware.
He had 3 children from his marriage to Barbara L. Hazzard (Latonya A Dixon , Sharlene B. Sheppard and Earle E Sheppard. He also had another son Darryl Womack .
Earle (Neil as he was called by all that knew him) loved to tinker, loved the oldies and was a n avid bowler. He was a member of a local du-op singing group “The Little Dreamers” in the early 1960’s that included his lifelong friends Louis (Bunny) and William (Jr) Hoxter. Upon his return to Wilmington he reunited with his friends having weekly outings to bowl and fellowship. He also reconnected later in life with his children/friends.
