Darnell Orlando Clark, son of Gloria Clark Cooper and the late Henry Lee Clark, was born October 31, 1959 in Wilmington, DE. He peacefully departed this life on September 5, 2019 in Seasons Hospice at the Christiana Hospital.
Darnell received his early education in the public schools of Wilmington, Delaware. Prior to his disability, he worked for many years in the construction business. One of his proudest accomplishments was working with his construction company to build the Christiana Hospital.
Darnell’s strength, courage, and faith in GOD allowed him to live for more than 15 years as a quadriplegic. He last resided at Cadia Nursing Home, where he made many friends and was well liked by all who cared for him. Darnell loved to eat, and was at his happiest when a good meal was prepared for him. He also enjoyed his daily conversations with his Mom, quiet time while watching one of his favorite movies, and periodic visits from his family and special friends.
Darnell is preceded in death by his brothers, Oshay Lavon and Demarbis Nigel Clark, and one sister Danielle B. Clark-Skinner. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Gloria Clark-Cooper, brother, Angelo Lee Clark, sister- in-law, Cindi Clark, brother-in-law William Skinner, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends.
