Bruce E. Murray, the son of Barbara Kelly and Henry Murray, Jr. was born on June 17, 1959 in Eustis, Florida. He departed this life on July 10, 2022, at the age of 63. He would gain his education at the Jobs Corps of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania where he obtained his diploma.
Bruce was a dedicated employee of Widener University for over 30 years up until earlier this year.
Bruce loved his family, fishing, and football, especially his often imitated never duplicated Philadelphia E*A*G*L*E*S. And he took immense pride in his position as the "self-appointed" Mayor of Eaglesville. He was known for doing pop-up visits on family and friends and you knew he was around when you heard the laugh. He always reveled in taking family photos not so much with a phone but with the actual camera.
Bruce was predeceased by his loving wife, Louise "Niecy" Murray, his father Henry Murray, Jr. and his brother Henry "Reggie" Murray, lll.
He is survived by and leaves to cherish the memories his mother, Barbara Kelly. Four siblings; Lesley Murray(Wayne), Stephanie Bullock (Greg), Marianna Comer(Wilbert) and Raylyn Kinard(Clay). Three sons; Bruce Bullock, Byran Murray and James Murray. Three Stepchildren; Shannon Gaither, Shauntae Parson and James Parson and 7 grandchildren whom he loved and adored. He also had three best friends Reggie Wright, Maurice Mosely and Bruce Taylor, 1 God daugther Tykessa Bullock and a God Sister, Latania Alston-Hill as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Celebration of his life will be held on Monday July 25, 2022 at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th St. Wilm., DE 19801. Viewing, 8-10:45am. Service 11 am. Interment, Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Masks are required.
