Booker T. Martin "Gou"

Booker T. Martin as we affectionately called “Gou” of Wilmington, Delaware. Passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2021, at the age of 50 years old.

Booker was born on January 30, 1971, to the late Eleanor and Copeland Martin. He received his education in Delaware Public schools. Later then he graduated from Glen Mill school, where he obtained his diploma and studied to be an optometrist. He enjoyed running, working out, and listening to his favorite rapper DMX. He loved his family, especially his mother and daughter. He will be remembered for his swag, generosity, and kind heart.

Booker is survived by his daughter Brooklyn Brinson, his sister Elmaria Martin, his brothers Ivan Martin, Sorento Martin, Steven Martin, and Derrick Cooper and a host of nieces and nephews, and his long-time best friend Bassir Ali, Brucie Stewart, and "Lil Hearl".

The service will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at noon. Mother UAME Church 701 E 5th St, Wilmington, DE 19801. The viewing is from 10 am-12 pm. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 722 East 10th Street Wilmington, DE 19801. "Lil Hearl"
All attendees must wear masks.
