Born to Marjorie Jean Loper Stansbury and fathered and raised by Johnny Mac Stansbury, Raymond Phillip Stansbury was born on August 24th, 1958, in Wilmington Delaware and surrendered his spirit back to Yah after a courageous fight, on July 27th, 2023 in the Christiana Care Hospital.
Raymond, also affectionately known by his family and friends as: Ray, Gizzy, Giz and Pops, by his Prophetic Sons and Daughters, received his Early education in the public schools of Wilmington Delaware. He graduated as a Dynamiter from P. S. DuPont High School, class of 1977, actively involved in the “Spread Love Club,” headed by Mrs. Mary Stanley, and also sang on the choir and Gospel choir under the direction of Mr. Leander Morris. Raymond furthered his education at Delaware Technical College majoring in Hotel Management. He also attended and completed “The Healing School” under the ministry and teachings of the late Charles and Frances Hunter of Pinehurst, Texas. He was a graduate from the DC, DE, & MD Councils of Pentecostal Assemblies of The World (P.A.W.), Inc. three-year school of ministry. He graduated from Bethel Bible Institute, Wilmington, Delaware after completing a four-year required ministry course. All of that took place in a ten-year span of time; then he publicly walked into ministry July 28, 1986, under the teaching and instruction of his great Pastor, Apostle Thomas Wesley Weeks, Sr. (Pastoral Father) of whom was his personal covering, of New Destiny Fellowship International, Inc. of which he was a staff worker and citizen from 1980-1999. He also completed courses on writing, speaking, and understanding the Biblical Hebrew. He went on to receive his Honorary Doctorate from Elbon-Solutions College of Ministry, Apple Valley, California in October 2021. He also worked at various jobs and consulted with many organizations excelling at each one because of his standard in YAH and his Spirit of excellence.
Family was everything to Raymond. He absolutely loved and treasured who he was in the Loper Inc. which can be described as a family of Levites, which have been anointed for such a time as this. The closeness of our family was such that cousins called each other sisters and brothers because of the bond and unity we shared and is still alive today. He used to spend a lot of time with his great-grandmother, Mary Lee Mando and his aunt and godmother the Rev. Dr. Loper. We were raised to waste not and want not. One incident that everybody remembers, is when he made some oatmeal didn't like it, so he threw it in the trash. And his grandmother made him eat it out of there. And incidents like that, help teach him to appreciate and see the value in everything and not take things for granted.
He was personable, protective, a mama's boy, a comedian, a cook, a baker and overall, just something else. As he was in the Kingdom, so he was in the world. He did not play with his kingdom responsibilities and assignment. He was strict, direct and would cut you in love for the edifying of the body and the perfecting of the saints. Raymond stood for what was right and righteous; believed in Holiness or hell, and there were no shades of gray or excuses. He knew being a Kingdom citizen that the world would have opposition and hate towards him, but it didn't matter, he would stir up the word inside him and say when the enemy comes in like a flood God will build a standard against them.
Raymond was an anointed Psalmist, an outstanding pianist and made the Hammond speak. He wrote books, penned songs, curated teachings and his prophetic flow, THAT PART! He would go down your street, in the holy spirit and with the accuracy of his prophecy, he unapologetically would tell you the hard and difficult things because he was the mouthpiece of Yah. And it was that accuracy and mind-blowing revelations shared revealed the evidence of the intimate time he spent with Yah.
He got his sure foundation from the Levi family named The Lopers with the two living matriarchs the Rev. Bessie L. Jones and the Rev. Dr. Dolores J. Loper being two of his spiritual leaders. Understanding to whom much is given, much more is required. He attended the Holy Spirit headquarters, located at 408 East 11th Street Wilmington Delaware, St. Paul U.A.M.E. Church. Yes, Methodist, who believed in one God, one faith, one baptism, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, prophesying, laying on hands, holy dancing, where Sunday morning service was the most important, and black and white was always in order. Raymond came up in the era where you were in church all day with Reverend Dr. Loper preaching, or whether that was the house wrecker's, the Dolores Loper singers singing. He was a junior usher, a member of the junior church, attended Sunday School, sang on the Number 4 Choir, the St. Paul Specials, the Junior Stars of Faith, The DJL Ensemble, and of course recorded with God Raymond and the family. It would be better stated who didn't he play for.
Later Raymond attended Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple (GBAT), now known as New Destiny Fellowship under the direction and pastorate of his apostolic father Apostle Thomas Wesley Weeks, Sr.; there he played the organ, made lifelong friends, started his seminary training and participated in the theatrical productions. In one of Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple (GBAT), productions Raymond had on this afro wig, playing the role of a preacher; there was one memorable line of the theatrical performance that he modeled his ministry and life after which was, “'WHEN GOD'S FINISHED THEN SO AM I.” As he was for preparing that which Yah had called him to, ministry, apostleship, and a prophet for nations, Yah gave him stewardship, and equipped him for his Kingdom Assignment.
He acknowledged his calling as a Prophet in 1976. During that period, he studied, fasted, and prayed to enhance the call on his life perfecting his walk in the prophetic office. He was properly birthed into the prophetic office by spiritual mother and mid-wife the late Apostle Dr. Loretta Taylor of New York along with the guidance and wisdom of Apostle Sylvia Stoner and Prophetess Patricia Tucker both of Wilmington, Delaware.
He started his church, from his house on West 8th Street, and had three other locations before Yah gave and equipped him to start Prophetic House of Truth Outreach (P.H.O.T.O.), Natsarim Hebraic Assembly in February 1999. Over the span of 25+ years he was trusted to minister to many denominations in which he traveled internationally. He totally would teach the scripture, and not religious doctrine. He was an anointed vessel with the accurate Word of The Most High in his mouth.
