Blanche E. Stansbury, 94, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2018. She is survived by her son; Ronald Stansbury, daughters; Lynette Stansbury Scott, Bernadine Stansbury, Jeanette Stansbury, daughter in-law; Maxine Stansbury, son- in- law; Arthur Scott, Sr., 5 grandchildren; Damon Stansbury, Kelli Stansbury, Kevin Frazier, Jr., Keith Stansbury, and Myles, Stansbury,7 great grandchildren,6 great- great grandchildren,3 sisters-in-law;Myrtle Craig, Mary McCray, and Addelle “Sis” Craig, one brother-in-law; Ernest “Sonny” Thomas,and a host of other relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Stansbury, children; Russell Stansbury, Allen Stansbury and Linda Stansbury who departed this life suddenly on January 19, 2018, siblings; Oscar “Dynamite” Craig, Gilbert “Spike” Craig, Myrtle Craig Bridgeford, and Russell Craig.
She was employed as a private duty caregiver working with the Visiting Nurses Association until her retirement in 1987.During World War II, as her husband served in the United States Army as a paratrooper, she assisted the war effort by working as a “Rosie Riveter” (women who worked in the shipyards and factories during World War) in the Chester Shipyard.
Funeral Service will be held Monday February 12, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 101 Washington Ave. Chichester, PA. 19014
