Linda Denise Stansbury

Linda Denise Stansbury, 59, went home to be with the Lord after a sudden illness. She is survived by her son, Keith Preston Stansbury, her mother- Blanche Stansbury, brother- Ronald Stansbury, sisters- Lynette Scott , Bernadine Stansbury , and Jeanette Stansbury, brother- in- law- Arthur Scott, niece- Kelli Stansbury, Nephews- Damon Stansbury, Kevin Frazier, Jr., and Myles Stansbury, 3 Aunts , 1 uncle and a host of other extended nieces, nephews and relatives. She was predeceased by her father, James Stansbury, a World War II veteran with the 42nd Airborne, and a brother, Allen Stansbury, a Vietnam War veteran.
Linda graduated from P.S. duPont High School and attended Mount Holyoke College. She was employed as a Merchant Marine for Sun Oil Co. for over 20 years until the shipline was sold. She went on to work at Shop Rite for over 15 years until 2016. She then became her mother’s primary caregiver.
She loved to read and travel. Linda enjoyed listening to oldies and attending music concerts. She was always there to lend a helping hand to her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11 AM - Mother Union AME Church , 701 E. 5th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801
