Sallie Jane Jones

Sallie Jane Jones was born October 4, 1933 to the late Jonah and Mary Council of Hassell, North Carolina. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 14, 1962 and remained faitful until her death.

Sallie received business education from North Carolina Central. She also enjoyed working for 15 years in the Cumberland County School System.

Sallie leaves to cherish her memory her five children; three daughters, Yvonne Jones McCallum, Lorraine C. Jones and Maria Y. Jones all of Bear, Delaware and two sons, Carlton C. Jones, Jr.(wife, Ann) of Lumberton, NC and Wendell C. Jones(wife, Ora) of Fayetteville, NC. One brother, Willie Council and his wife Nellie Council, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Sallie loved her family and appreciated beautiful flowers and plants.

Celebration of life will take place on Saturday November 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2101 Red Lion Road, Bear, DE 19701.
