Veronica Hestor Brown

April 18, 1964 — June 5, 2017

Veronica Hester Brown, daughter of the late Walter, Jr. and Bessie Carn was born in Wilmington, DE on April 18, 1964. She attended William Penn High School.

Veronica was the first in her immediate family to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She would always tell her family, friends and strangers about the goodness of the Lord.Veronica was ordained by God to evangelize, she preached and performed many different skits at church services; she loved and wrote poetry.
Veronica would have church services at Quaker Hill Highrise, and cooked Thanksgiving dinner for residents including her brother Walyer Carn, 111. She also had a ministry called Greater Works preparing food in her home, recruiting volunteers, family and friends to help go to local motels and feed families on Thanksgiving Day.

Veronica gave of herself unselfishly and had a heart of gold. She owned a daycare, Kidz.com for many years, where she enjoyed teaching children how to pray and the things of God. She had a moon bounce and waterslide in her backyard. Veronica would celebrate birthdays and have a graduation ceremony for her kids. Veronica loved cooking and enjoying being around family and friends; she would make sure you had plenty to eat. She also liked to play Candy Cruch and being on her tablet.

Veronica was a great mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. There was nothing that she would not have done for you if she could. She was crazy about her grandchildren and would give them anything they wanted.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents Bessie and Walter, Carn, Jr.; sisters, Sharon Skinner, Ellen Johnson and great nephew Rhavon Roberts. She is survived by her husband, William Brown, two sons Steven Carn and Jamar Bouie. Grandchildren; Trezuee Carn, Heaven Carn, Isiaih Carn, Baby Smu(Honor), brother, Walter Carn,lll, sister Dawn Y. Carn and dedicated friends, Terri Thurston, Maggie Alexander and Peter Hreczuch and a host of aunts, nieces, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday June 12, 2017 at 10:30 am, Victory Christian Fellowship, 100 Wilton Blvd. New Castle, DE 19720
