Mr. Adolphus Brew was born on August 8, 1950 in a town called Saltpond in the central region of Ghana to the late Mr. Obed Brew and Miss Mary Awuo. He was 1 of 7 children.
Even as a child he was very simple, compassionate, loving and smart. He always wanted people to feel safe.
At age 23, he enlisted in the Ghana Airforce as an Aerofireman. With dint of hard work he mastered his trade excellently and was selected as an instructor at the school of trade training from among his peers. His professional integrity and sterling competence and leadership ability generated an immediate confidence in his superiors and subordinate. Soon after he became an instructor the Ghana Airfare sent him to Britain to acquire more knowledge on his field of work. He also went to Israel, Libanon, Liberia and Congo among other places for UN Peace Mission.
After working 29 years, he retired from the Ghana Army and came to United States 13 years ago to continue to create a better life for his family. Since his arrival he worked tirelessly to support his kids to achieve the American dream and he died doing so.
Mr. Brew was not only a good soldier and father, he was also a loving husband and an excellent sportsman. He was an outstanding football player, a unique coach, and a persistent trainer. During his soccer days he played for the Ghana Airforce and Sekondi Hasaacas.
Mr. Brew besides being a hardworking man, loved going to church always to serve his Maker, and associate with other members of the church.
He remained strong, hard working and very optimistic until his last day on earth. Rather than mourning his death, Mr. Brew wanted his family and friends to put aside their differences and come together to celebrate his life.
He was the father of six children and 12 grandchildren.
