Deacon James A. Jones, Sr. " Pop J"

Deacon James A. Jones Sr. "Pop J" age 88 of New Castle Delaware left his earthy home and transitioned to his heavenly home on July 30, 2014. His love and memories are deeply cherished by his wife of 60 years, Mae E. Jones; children, Tholetha Jones, Joyce Webb, Leartis Jones, James (Cheryl) Jones Jr. and Linda (Bryant) Bright; sisters, Gladys Jones and Elder Essie Alderman, grand children, 2 sister in laws, nieces, nephews, neighborhood sons, other family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Tossie and Equilla Jones, children Alfreda Copeland and Nathaniel Jones, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday August 5, 2014 at Ezion Fair Baptist Church, 1400 B Street, Wilmington Delaware at 6 pm with a 4 - 6 viewing. Interment10 am, Wednesday August 6, 2014 at Gracelawn Cemetery.
