Robert Roy Jenkins

Robert Roy Jenkins age 87,  passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at home surrounded by family.  Born on July 7, 1926 to the late Stephen Jenkins and Bertha Freeman, Robert grew up in Wilmington and attended local public schools.  He served proudly in the United States Army and spent the remainder of his career as a laborer of Local 199 Union.  Bobby leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Sarah of 61 years, his grandchildren, Mia Burton, Andi Williams (Omar), and Julian Matthews, two sisters, Vivian Thompson and Dorothy Walters, three great grandsons, and a host of other relatives. Celebration of Life will be held at Mother U.A.M.E. Church at 701 E. 5 ^th Street, Wilm., DE on Thurs., March 27, 2014 , 11am. Viewing 9-11. Burial, Veterans Cemetery.
