Age 88, Ward Melvin Raison, Sr. of Wilmington, transitioned from this life peacefully October 23, 2013 at Christiana Hospital. Mr. Ward Melvin Raison, Sr. was a Combination Welder and retired from Zallea Bros after 35 years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memory a dedicated wife, Lillian Raison, 7 children: Gloria Johnson (Eddie), Barbara Jackson, Greenfield Jackson, William Edward Jackson, Ward Melvin Raison, Jr.(Tanya), Patricia Raison-Brown(Michael), Dianne Woodson and a deceased son Alphonso Raison . A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held 11am on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Mother UAME church, 701 E. 5th. Street, Wilmington, De 19801. Viewing 9:00am – 11am only. Burial will be private.
