Sedonia Brown

Sedonia Brown was born on October 15, 1934 in York, South Carolina to the late Jefferson and Elizabeth Meek. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 22, 2013. Sedonia retired from St. Francis Hospital in 1999, where she was a dedicated employee for over thirty years. After retirement, she devoted her time to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard, cooking and traveling.

Sedonia was preceded in death by her late husband Bobbie Brown, Sr., her brothers, Jefferson Davis Meek, Ernest Meek and David Meek. She leaves to cherish her memory her six children; Bobbie Jr.(Shirley) of Killen, TX, Jeffers(Elizabeth) of Clayton, DE, Walter of Fort Worth, TX, Mamie, Erica and Brenda of New Castle, DE, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 6 sisters, 2 brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service will be Friday June 28, 2013 at 11am, Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th St., Wilm.,DE Viewing 9-11 am. Interment DE Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
