Joan Walley Homier
the eldest daughter of the late Florence Walley and Stanford Williams. She was born August 20, 1940 in Wilmington, Delaware, raised in eastside of the city. She departed this life peacefully on April 24, 2012 in her home being care for by her loving children and brother. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace Bernard Homier. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Charmen Dryden, Loretta Dryden-Dickerson, Edward, Jr. and Ernest Dryden; siblings Floretha “Ressie” Coleman and Erskine “Captain Marvel” Caldwell; 15 grandchildren (3 predecesed her), 25 great grandchild, 4 great great grand children, brother-in-law Thomas Homier (Sadie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Service will be held on Wednesday May 2, 2012 11 AM at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th St. Wilm.,DE Viewing 9-11 AM . Interment, DE Veterans Cemetery.
