Eli George Cephas
was born August 23, 1923 to the late Carl and Anna Cephas and he departed this life August 15, 2011 at Heartland Hospice Home in Hockessin, DE.
George worked at Zallea Brothers for 36 years and then he worked for the News Journal for several years.

He is survived by his wife Euphemia, four children; James Wilson, Juan Johnson, Arlene Johnson and Gail Freeman. Four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Three sisters Mary Pearce, Carolyn Jackson and Carol Arvelay, three brothers; Harrison, Major and Williard Cephas.

Service will be held on Monday August 22, 2011 at Sharon Temple SDA Church, 2001 N. Washington St., Wilmington, DE at 7 PM. Viewing 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis, TN. 38148
