Barbara Janet Boardley
of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday August 1, 2011. She was born on March 8, 1933 in New York, New York. Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Sicily H. Winters. She graduated from High School of Fashion Industries. Barbara received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics from Maryland State College. While in college she met her future husband, the late Alvin L. Boardley. This union was blessed with three children: Alvin LaMar Jr., Sicily Grace Bordrick(Brandon) and Crystal Marie Clark(Anthony). Her beloved grandchildren are Shany'e, Shanise, Shatera, Travis, Caleb, Brandon, Jamal, Sicily, Maya and Aurelius.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three children, ten grandchildren, sister-in-law, Grace Burris, brothers-in-law, Larry Burris and Franklin D. Cook, many nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, friends and two loyal and devoted friends, Wilda Mae Hutt and Alma Stewart.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 8, 2011 at 11 am at Central Baptist Church, 839 Pine Street., Wilmington, DE. Interment, Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
