Obituary for Pamela Mozel Wilson “P. Mozel” “Pam”
On July 4, 2011 Pamela Mozel Wilson, aged 53 of Jamaica (Queens) New York, went home to be with the Lord. Born in Wilmington on May 15, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Mary Butler-Wilson and granddaughter of the late Mozel Butler. Pamela graduated from St. Marks High School (1976) and was a proud alumnus of Bethune-Cookman University (1980). She was employed by the Department of the Treasury (IRS) of Rego Park, New York for 24 years. Pamela Mozel is survived by her siblings, Douglas Pope and Carlton Matthew Wilson (Gloria) and Cynthia E. Slater (Napoleon). She is also survived by her nephews, Charles and Michael Aaron Wilson, Dexter Bland, Zachariah Slater, Ezekiel Slater and grand nephew Cameron Wilson, niece Daisey Washington, grand- niece Cheyenne-Erin Wilson, Godson Andre Wright, Jr. and a host of relatives and dear true friends. She touched the lives of many and she will be sadly and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A victory celebration of her life will be Saturday July 16, 2011, 9:30am at Ezion Mt.Carmel United Methodist Church, 800 Walnut Street Wilmington Delaware 19801. Viewing will be Friday July 15 5-7pm and Saturday July 16, 8-9:30 am at the church. Interment will be follow at Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethune-Cookman University National Alumni Association in her name, (Pamela Mozel Wilson class of 1980), at bcunaa.com
